Excessive heat warnings coming our way!! Nothing more refreshing and cool then to start the day with an ice cold smoothie. I have been so in love with pineapple lately, it just feels like summer to me. This morning I paired it up with a fresh pear and greens, ahh...delish! Give this simple summer smoothie a try for a cleansing breakfast or for a cool afternoon pick me up.
Pineapple Pear Summer Smoothie
8 ounces coconut water
1 cup cut fresh pineapple
1 fresh pear, sliced
1 cup frozen kale or chard
1/4 cucumber, cut to pieces
dash of ginger
stevia drops to taste
ice cubes
Add all to blender and mix until smooth. I poured mine into a tall mug that had been in the freezer, so it kept my green smoothie extra cold and frothy! It's gonna be a warm summer, stay cool!!
