The combo of banana and chocolate is just pure genius! One of my favorites, for sure.
This shake is a great chocolate fix that doesn't leave you feeling icky afterwards, has hemp protein and chia seeds which makes it a great post-workout reward, or could just be used as an energizing pick me up in the afternoon! Chia seeds have protein and fiber to make this shake satisfying and the hemp protein is a great plant based protein powder that is also a great source of fiber, omegas and amino acids.
Give it a Try:
-8 ounces unsweetened vanilla almond milk
-1/2 banana
-1 serving hemp protein powder
-1 Tbsp chia seeds
-1 Tbsp raw cocoa powder
-1 Tbsp raw cocoa powder
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-liquid stevia and cinnamon to taste
-crushed ice
Pour the almond milk in a blender, then add the chia seeds*The chia seeds will absorb the milk and expand..making this an even creamier, filling shake!
Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until it all comes together nice and smooth.
Let sit for an extra minute to thicken up just a little more, then pour into a tall glass...add a straw...and enjoy!

There are a ton of protein powders on the market...it can be overwhelming trying to decide on one right for you. Your best bet is to go with a plant based protein powder that doesn't have any added sugar and has minimal ingredients. You can always add stevia and/or vanilla extract to add flavor.
